Season 2 Patch Notes and the Season 3 Economy Wipe

Update 0.2.0 on October 15 added weapons, vehicles, and an armor rework. Season 3 is scheduled for November 12 with an economy wipe.

This note is about the live Steam client, not a menu tour. Wardogs season 2 shipped as Update 0.2.0 on October 15, 2026. Season 3 is already dated: November 12, 2026, pulled forward for an economy wipe and a progression rework after Season 2 unlock exploits. Official detail stays on the Steam Community hub and the game's own patch notes. The store copy of the same timeline is on the status page.

Weapons in Update 0.2.0

Season 2 added four guns: the TCX Spear battle rifle, the M14 DMR, the PP-19 Bizon SMG, and the Evo 3 Ultra, a .308 Winchester Magnum light machine gun. If you care about labels on new models, treat that as a client change first. A patch list is not a promise that every new weapon name is drawn on screen by the loader the same day the update hits Steam.

Vehicles and buildables

The driver track gained four vehicles: the Wolf-110, the Wolf-110 with an M2 Browning, the T-72B3 main battle tank, and the Flakpanzer Gepard anti-air vehicle. The update also added three new buildables and MG nest placements. Armor on the map and armor in the world are still separate reads. Re-open a saved config after the client update instead of assuming last month's vehicle filter still matches the new hulls.

Armor, gadgets, and parachutes

  • Helmets and armor were reworked. Tier 4 super-heavy helmets now muffle audio, restrict the field of view, and fog the view while sprinting, in exchange for more suppression resistance.
  • Molotov cocktails are a new incendiary throwable. They damage terrain, foliage, and players.
  • Infrared rangefinders now run on a finite battery.
  • Parachutes take longer to deploy, will not open below about 10 meters, and the basic parachute costs $500.

Lonestar, the blue team, received cash and XP bonuses in a balance test aimed at a long-running win-rate gap. That bonus is a matchmaking experiment. It is not a store discount and it does not change license length.

Season 3 on November 12

The developers are expediting Season 3 to November 12, 2026 so they can wipe the economy and rework progression. The stated reason is exploits in Season 2 that let players unlock gear too quickly. Plan on Season 2 guns, vehicles, and cash not carrying over in the same form. A wipe is a profile and inventory event. It does not clear a hardware flag, and it does not make third-party software acceptable to Elytra. Read status again after the Season 3 client is actually live. A dated announcement is not the same as the build that is on Steam that morning.

If you only needed the calendar, stop here. If you still want the loader, use checkout and the portal, then confirm the file matches the client you just patched. The products page is where the three licenses stay separate. Do not treat this patch article as a feature matrix. New public weapons and vehicles are listed so you know what the game changed, not so this URL competes with a settings guide.
